This is a letter from an x factor fan site reader….
To whom it may concern.
I cannot believe that Rhydian didn’t win the xfactor. I have nothing against young Leon and thought the youngsters may vote him in.
However, Rhydian’s number was not put on screen until nearly the end of the 2nd half with only minutes to vote. Leon’s number was on at the beginning. After reading comments about all who couldn’t get through and also the Judges comments to Rhydian at the end, I now believe that it was all rigged, particularly after all the problems with voting systems recently.
However, I still feel this was fortunate for Rhydian, he is free to do his own thing and will get many many offers, not tied into a year’s contract. Like many others I wish him all the luck in the world and can’t wait to purchase his first album and I guess it won’t be long before he is in a West End Show. His rendition of Phantom was truly amazing, I saw the original cast with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman, but Rhydian took my breath away.

Very disappointed the wrong man won the x factor. Leon was out of tune a lot of the time. Rhydian is a true performer with an excellent singing voice and deserves so much more than the insults he got from your female panellists. i cannot wait for him to release an album or have a concert of his own. By the way so many people couldn’t get through on the phone lines for Rhydian strange!!!!!!

What a set up the results were ready and we couldnt even get through I believe because Leon sang first more votes came through before Rydian had his chance to sing. Rydian will be around forever. Leon give him 6 weeks. What a joke he cant even sing. Fixed

So because people couldn’t get thru on the phone to vote for Rhydian - the vote was rigged??? Well how is it that me and my friends also tried for half an hour to vote for leon and couldn’t get through?!! Ever heard of the lines being busy?!!!!!!
To whom it may concern:
Members of my family tried times without number to get through to vote for Rhydian on Saturday, 15 December. I find it unbelievable that in all of the time allowed for voting none of us were able to register a SINGLE vote.
In conscience this situation should be investigated. Unfortunately revealing the number of votes registered is meaningless as it is the UNregistered countless attempts which can not now be recorded.

Sorry but I must say that though Leon is a good singer and good looking for the youngsters, I along with many others who did try to vote for rhydian could not get through as the lines did keep coming up as a dead line or none existing. Leon was not the real winner rhydian was but the pleasure of winning for him had been removed.
I tried from three different phones and from what I have heard I am not the only one, it has been on the BBC Sheffield radio news that there have been quite a number of people who have been wanting to vote for rhydian could not get through for the same reason STIKING YOU AS ODD!!!!
It appears that either you have a fault with the lines or purposley put a block on the lines and possibly restricted the number of votes for rhydian.
A revoted should be made along with other ways i.e text or via t.v by pressing the red button on the remote.

Having watched The X factor show its the people who run the show who are to blame. Why aren’t the voting started when ALL the acts have finished at the same time. If one of the acts finishes before the other obviously they have extra time and this is not fair. I sadly think the wrong person has had all the glory this time for someone who cannot sing in tune all the time to someone who took abuse from the panel from the start yet is clearly a very vary great singer disgusts me. The whole show and how it is produced needs looking into. I do hope Rhydian can get a number one out ASAP because most people want him to!!!!!!!
l agree with the lady who said about the phone lines, Rhydian you were the
best contestant from start to finish to make the show a regional fight was
also wrong as l am Scottish but sorry Leon l felt you should have gone
earlier and at no point did anyone say Leon was world class, Rhydian you are
and you have made your family very proud even in an unfair defeat you were
gracious, a credit to your parents please don’t give up singing, lm sure you
wont, you sang songs personal to me and brought me to tears l cannot credit
you enough and l will be one fan of many, bring a cd of your own out SOON
!!!!!!! l will be first in queue. l hope this comment gets passed on to you

Well I’m not sure what actually happened. I supported Leon that night and when I tried to vote for him after his first when you believe performance i couldn’t get through three times so I’m thinking that the line was cut off during their last performance so i think this is what happened. But I think ITV or X Factors should say something about this.
All you rhyd fans make me sick. Everyone i know had mega problems getting through to vote for leon, it was 100 percent fair and leon won cos more people liked him than Rhyd get over it already x
Like most I also had problems getting through for Rhydian, Leon is cute but I wasn’t overly impressed with his performances on the night, He was most definately out of tune, and rarely engaged my full attention, Rhydian on the other hand was and has always been excellent, He has an amazing voice and showmanship, In response to the comment from Efua, we are not talking gloop, I think that simply the wrong man won, irrespect of not getting through myself, Rhydian was by far the best contestant, He should have won and in answer to how is to gain? if enough people let their thoughts known, maybe Rhydian may get that career world class, that he rightly deserves.
A recent internet poll on this subject saw 150,000 people vote Rhydian the winner by more than 2 votes to 1. How can such a large X section of the public come to such a vast difference of outcome to that of the Sat night vote? Impossible?
Oh for crying out loud i wish people would just get a grip and accept the fact that leon won it took me half an hour to register my vote for leon it was all due to the ammount of calls thats why people could not vote nothing to do with it being fixed,yea i agree that rhydian is a good singer and he will have a huge career in music anyway so just deal with it!!!!!!
can anyone actually believe that this was not a set up i haven’t spoken to one person who said that Leon was better than Rydian it is obviously from anyones stand point that the only reason Leon won was that he would be more commercial for easily influenced and easily led young girls and make a handsome little (BIG) fortune for Sony for the christmas period. Yes it’s true Rydian is going to make it anyway but the makers of Xfactor cannot clear their conscenice with that excuse for robbing a young man his pride and his confidence especially the constant remarks that were made towards Rydian to try and influence the public and the young voters out there. Plus I believe that Danny Minogue had a hidden agenda with her obvious favouritism of Leon and that was because she knew he would be less of a threat to her and her attempt at this year’s xmas number 1. They should all be ashamed of themselves.
my mother in law received a phone call from bt today asking if she made 150 calls to x factor on saturday, she has never watched x factor in her life, don’t know who the calls were in favour of but very strange dont you think????
what an xfactor failure year… i will never vote again in this program. Leon won…what a joke. he cannot sing he cannot dance he cannot speak. he can ONLY cry and wants his mum’s life better, well…WE ALL WANT THAT.
I would pay to watch rhydian singing and performing, I wouldn’t watch leon even if they pay me
I’m really happy Leon won!I’ve wanted him to win from the begining because he is such a nice and humble guy.Rydian was great but he studied music for a long time while Leon wasn’t so good but he progressed throughout the show and I think that’s the main reason why people voted for him.There is no doubt that both of them are having great careers ahead.good luck guys
