In the world of fashion, designers are very critical on who they associate with and who they lend their clothes to, and to whom they custom design for. You can’t put a price on this, because while it is worth millions of pounds to the designer, the one wearing the design does not pay in the way that most of us would need to go shopping and pay for.
A designer like YSL, Chanel, LV, Brioni, Prada, Armani, Missoni, Valentino, Roberto Cavalli, Dior, Lanvin, Fendi, Hermes, Wolford or several other posh designers do not lend clothes to people unless they are the biggest star in the world, and then only if you meet their criteria. For an example: If you are to large, and the clothing does not fit right, then they would not create something for that person.
Yes, x factor live has a large enough audience for the designer to take interest, but the target of who can actually afford the designs must also be taken under consideration, and it comes down to less than 1% that can actually afford these high priced items.
If the designer believes they will be working with the next Leona Lewis, or someone of that caliber, then they will be willing to take the chance with the individual.
Then of course each time someone wears something, it is a different case, and must be reviewed for possibility of being loaned clothing. ie. a designers fashion show might want to dress the guests specially who are seated in the front rows. While they would not dress them for the x factor live show, or could not dress for the show because of the product placement and no outside designers allowed, they might want to dress the finalist somewhere else.
While I have the interest of people in the fashion business, I want to offer this website as a place for you to advertise, because I do have a higher percentage of affluent guests. If you also would be able to loan clothes to finalists of the x factor, I could get word to them privately.
