It can be a very dramatic transformation to go from unkept, bookworm looking nerd, or casual looking small towne girl to a woman complete with a new hairstyle, professional makeup, dress and heels.
While this has got nothing to do with their singing ability or their talent (we already know who is going to win after their first performance)  they must change somehow to keep our interest in tuning into the TV show.
This fake transformation was very evident in last seasons Leona Lewis, who also started out in jeans.
This ugly duckling to swan transformation is not fooling anyone.

Leona Lewis is a Beautiful woman with an incredible voice. She is one of the best female vocalist this country has produced in a very long time.
She also looks Amazing in every photo i have seen of her.
Whether see is walking down the street in jeans, Arriving back at Heathrow in a tracksuit or glammed up in a photoshoot.
She is a born superstar.
Leona is set to release her brand new single, ‘Bleeding Love’ on 29th October. The track was written by Ryan Tedder and was recorded while Leona was out in LA. Ryan has also written for pop superstars Jennifer Lopez and Lil’ Jon.
Leona’s as yet untitled album will be released on the 5th November in the UK and early 2008 in the US.
